This has been a pretty busy winter for us here at CaddyTrek HQ. This year we had the great opportunity to go to three great golf tradeshows: the PGA Merchandise show in Orlando, the Golf Industry show in Orlando, and a PGA Sectional Show in Greensboro, NC.
The PGA Merchandise show was the first one on our circuit. Charlie, Jerry, and Richard all packed up their summer clothes and headed down to Orlando for some sun and schmooze.
This is the first opportunity that we’ve had to show our new product, the CaddyTrek Bigfoot rental unit and armed with a new Bigfoot costume, we were ready to go. The Orlando golf show had a lot of International representation, allowing Team CaddyTrek to meet with people from South Korea, Brazil, Australia and other locales. Lots of people were coming by and asking about our CaddyTrek CT2000BA and the new Bigfoot unit. I think we can contribute a lot of the attention to the Bigfoot mascot Richard hired to stalk the convention center floor. Fairly horrifying but very effective.
The trade show ended up being great. We had a chance to meet with long time customers and current dealers of our product. Even the very first person to ever purchase a CaddyTrek was there! He came by to say hi and told us he still uses his unit all the time. It was great to hear personal stories of people using the CaddyTrek.
It was also great to see our French distributors and friends from 4mygolf (www.4mygolf.com) over some cocktails and food.
We also had some unexpected visitors. Apparently Rodney Dangerfield was reanimated and visited the booth. Rodney loves tradeshows, and thinks CaddyTrek is pretty OK also.

After a very brief “rest”, meaning coming back to Vegas for a week, our tradeshow team returned to Orlando for the Golf Industry Show. The Golf Industry show is dedicated to golf superintendents, managers, and owners, so this was a great space for CaddyTrek and Bigfoot. Lots of interest was paid to our products and Bigfoot was still keeping us company.
Which one is Richard and which one is Bigfoot?
Next, off to North Carolina! This year’s Carolina PGA show was held in Greensboro, NC. It was a beautiful convention space and a new crowd of people. This show is based more golf professionals in the PGA section. We all know that the Carolinas are a huge golf mecca and it was great to see so many new faces. Some of the most memorable things from that trip are Highland Brewing’s Highland Cold Mountain Ale and some great BBQ (per Charlie).
See you next year tradeshows! We look forward to coming back (minus the terrible convention center food).
